When I first opened the doors of Café Parisienne on Lavender Hill in 2018, I had a simple dream: to create a little corner of Paris in the heart of London. Growing up in a small town outside of Paris, some of my fondest memories were of Sunday mornings spent in local cafés with my grandparents, the aroma of freshly baked croissants filling the air and the gentle clinking of coffee cups creating a symphony of comfort.
Here at 225 Lavender Hill, we’ve created more than just a café – we’ve built a home away from home. Every morning, as I unlock our doors and the scent of freshly ground coffee beans wafts through the air, I’m reminded of why we started this journey. Our cozy space, with its hand-picked vintage French posters and warm lighting, is designed to transport you to a quiet street corner in Montmartre.
Our team, which I’m proud to call my second family, brings together passionate baristas and talented pâtissiers who share my commitment to authentic French café culture. Each croissant is carefully laminated and baked fresh daily, every coffee is crafted with precision and care, and every customer is welcomed as if they’re entering our own home.
We source our coffee beans from small, sustainable farms, working closely with roasters who understand our dedication to quality. Our pastries and breads are made in-house using traditional French recipes, some passed down through generations of my family. But beyond the food and drink, what truly makes Café Parisienne special is our community – the regular faces we see every morning, the friendships formed over coffee, and the celebrations we’ve been fortunate enough to be part of.
